In 2003 and 2004, in the month of July, Culotta was invited, first among the various Palermitan teachers who subsequently took part in this experience, to hold one of the intensive workshop courses in Architectural Composition at the IUAV. The activity of the workshops as a fundamental preparatory experience of the three-year degree course in Architecture Sciences constituted a didactic innovation of strong experimental value, being a compact themed laboratory, carried out entirely in the classroom.
